About

The College was established on 7th July, 2008 by the Mawphlang Presbytery which is the Sponsoring Body at the Presbytery Complex located in Mawngap Lumparing. However, at present it functions from the Permanent Campus, a sprawling area of about 6 acres area bought by the Sponsoring Body at Mawngap, Mawkharshiing. The College was shifted to the Permanent Campus in the year 2023.

The College offers BA Honours Course alongside the FYUP Courses designed under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and regular classes are run in two shifts i.e. Morning Shift and Day Shift. With an aim to provide job oriented and vocational courses, in the year  2023, the College opened a Computer Learning Centre offering computer courses such as DTP, DCA, PGDCA among others and this has helped many students in preparing for job applications.

The College is affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University and is recognised under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The College is managed by a team of dedicated and committed Governing Body members under the leadership of Elder K. Lyngkhoi as the founding President.

The Strength of the College is the presence and commitment of a team of young and dedicated faculty members ready to face the challenges of rapid changes in learning and teaching. Being the only College in the area, we are grateful to have had the opportunity of imparting education to the rural students of surrounding villages.

Being affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University, the College strictly adheres to the guidelines of the University with regard to admission, examinations, and other related matters. The College also follows the Academic Calendar as prepared by the Academic Council of the University.

With the implementation of the New Education Policy, the College has plans to diversify and incorporate more multi-disciplinary courses, streams in the years to come so that our students are better equipped for more job roles and opportunities.
