Committees

   The college has various committees comprising of members from the teaching and non teaching staff to look into various matters. All the committees are headed by a senior staff as in-charge to supervise the smooth functioning of the college. The committees submit a report at the end of each academic year and bring out a proposal before the commencement of the academic session. 

Admission Committee

Khrawsing Christian College has established an Admission Committee comprising the principal and faculty members from various departments. The committee is committed to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and supportive admission process for all prospective students.

Primary Role
The Admission Committee is responsible for evaluating all applications for admission to the college.

Committee Responsibilities

  • Application Review: Every application is carefully assessed, taking into account academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and standardized test scores (CUET).

  • Diversity and Inclusion: We deeply value diversity and aim to foster an inclusive academic environment. The committee actively encourages the enrollment of students from different backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences.

  • Guidance and Support: The committee provides assistance throughout the admission process, answering queries, clarifying admission criteria, and addressing applicant concerns.

Evaluation Criteria
The Admission Committee uses a holistic review process, considering not only academic records but also personal qualities and experiences that reflect the core values of Khrawsing Christian College.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee has been formed to look into all financial matters of the college, it submits yearly financial statements and proposes the annual budget before every academic session. It is also the responsibility of the committee to ensure that all accounts are verified and audited annually.

Students' Grievances redressal Committee

The Students' Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) is established to uphold a fair, transparent, and student-centric environment within the institution. Its primary aim is to address and resolve grievances raised by students, ensuring their academic and personal experiences are positive and conducive to learning.

 

Objectives:

  • Timely Resolution: To provide prompt and effective solutions to student grievances, maintaining the integrity of the institution's academic and administrative processes.

  • Safe Expression: To encourage students to voice their concerns freely and without fear, fostering an atmosphere of trust and openness.

  • Inclusive Environment: To promote a harmonious educational setting where the rights and dignity of every student are respected.

Mechanism:

Students can submit their grievances through:

  • Suggestion/Complaint Boxes: Placed at campus for anonymous submissions.

  • In-Person Meetings: Scheduling appointments with SGRC members during designated hours.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee (EC) comprises of members from all the committees. The EC overlooks and approves all the various activities proposed and receives reports of all activities carried out during the academic year.

Building Committee

This committee looks into all infrastructural matters, prepare plans for campus development and to see that all works of construction is per the DPR prepared.

Research Committee

Examination Committee

The Examination Committee ensures the smooth operation of both internal and external examinations. It oversees exam-related logistics, including seating arrangements and the assignment of invigilation duties. The committee also collaborates with North Eastern Hill University, Shillong to facilitate all aspects of the end-semester examinations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with university guidelines. 

Students' Welfare Committee

 

The Students' Welfare Committee adopts a student-centric approach, prioritizing the well being and holistic development of students. It facilitates the enrolment of first-year students in co-curricular activities and organises events like College Week to promote student engagement. Additionally, the committee addresses various issues faced by the student community and works towards their resolution.

NEP Committee

The NEP Committee of the college is responsible for facilitating and overseeing the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 within the institution. The committee conducts a thorough analysis of the policy to ensure that the academic and administrative practices of the institution are in line with NEP’s vision of holistic, multidisciplinary, and learner-focused education. It offers support to faculty and students as they transition to the updated curriculum frameworks and teaching methods. Additionally, the committee organizes workshops, seminars, and training programs for both staff and students to enhance awareness and understanding of the policy regulations. Furthermore, the committee is tasked with monitoring the NEP's implementation and evaluating its impact, offering feedback for ongoing improvement.

Social Media Committee

The Social Media Committee is responsible for enhancing the college’s digital presence by creating and managing engaging content across social platforms. Its primary functions include promoting college events, increasing awareness, fostering community engagement, and supporting key initiatives such as admissions campaigns. The committee ensures consistent branding, tracks performance metrics, and adapts strategies to effectively connect with students, alumni, and the broader community.

NAAC Steering Committee

Centre Discipline committee

This committee has been formed as directed by the examination Department of the University to check if any unfair means/ malpractices is detected during examinations. This committee is chaired by the Centre-in-Charge of the college.
