NSS Cell
The NSS Unit of Khrawsing Christian College was established in the year 2022 with the objective of developing personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service. The purpose of the NSS is ‘Education through Service’.
The ideological orientation of the NSS is inspired by the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi. Very appropriately, the motto of the NSS is “NOT ME BUT YOU” which reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other’s person point of view and to show consideration to fellow human beings.
The nature of the NSS is a central sector scheme sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources, Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India for the under- graduate students.
TOFEI
The TOBACCO-FREE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION (ToFEI) CELL in Khrawsing Christian College was started in 2023 to ensure the enforcement and sustainability of tobacco-free environment on campus. It operates in alignment with national guidelines and institutional policies to promote health and well-being while raising awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use.
The ToFEI Cell aims to safeguards the health of students, staff and visitors by eliminating exposure to harmful tobacco products. It encourages young mind to adopt healthier lifestyles and discourages the initiation of tobacco use. The ToFEI Cell actively promotes tobacco-free environment through a complete ban on use of tobacco within institution’s boundary, displays visible signage and posters highlighting the tobacco free status of the institution, the Cell also organizes anti-tobacco rallies and conduct tobacco-free pledge taking ceremonies.
The ToFEI Cell plays a crucial role in building a healthier, tobacco-free generation. By fostering awareness and enforcing strict policies, the Cell significantly contributes to public health and overall well being of the community.
Women's Cell
This cell has been formed to look into issues related to women employees/ female students and take care if any grievances or complaints is received.
Red Ribbon Club
The Red Ribbon Club is used as a symbol for the solidarity of people living with HIV/AIDS and prevention of drug abuse.
The Red Ribbon club of Khrawsing College is a voluntary on-campus programme aimed at spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS, blood donation and other health related issues.
It was launched under MACS (Meghalaya Aids Control Society) in Meghalaya, with the goal of promoting responsible behaviour and encouraging students to become peer educators and advocate for healthy social life.
Eco Club
The Eco Club of the college plays a vital role in promoting environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices among students. It organized activities such as tree plantation drives, campus clean up events, waste management programs and eco friendly campaigns to create a greener and healthier campus. The Club also conducts awareness drives to educate students about pressing environmental issues like pollution, climate change and conservation. By actively involving students, the Eco Club fosters a sense of responsibility and commitment towards protecting the environment and building a sustainable future.
Anti-Ragging Cell
Anti- Ragging Cell has been formed to see that no student is abused, mistreated or mishandled in the college by anyone, be it boy/girl, junior or fellow batchmates.
This guideline has also been clearly mentioned in the college prospectus that ragging is strictly prohibited in the college.
Equal Opportunity Cell
This cell is formed to see that everyone- student or staff in the college are equally treated and there is no bias to differentiate between anyone on the basis of gender/religion/caste/creed.
