The Department of Economics at Khrawsing Christian College was established in the year 2008. Initially only pass course in Economics was offered in the college. With the introduction of the Semester System in 2015, the Department was automatically upgraded to BA honours in Economics.

        The Economics Department’s overall course outcome is designed to cultivate a deep understanding of economic theories, models and applications, preparing students to analyze and interpret economic issues and data effectively. The Department emphasizes on analytical skills, quantitative reasoning and critical thinking, preparing students for careers in various sectors.

           The Economics Department continues to strive for academic excellence while fostering a strong sense of community and intellectual curiosity among its students and staff.  Many qualified teachers have taught full time and part time in the department and at present it has 3 full time teachers. Faculty members actively participated in professional development through Refresher Courses and Workshops to enhance their teaching and research capabilities.
