The Department of Education at Khrawsing Christian College, Mawngap, was established in 2008 with a vision to provide quality education to students and produce competent individuals/educators. The department offers undergraduate programs, initially starting with Pass Courses and later expanding to Honours courses in 2015 under the semester system, and currently follows the Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP). 

            Ms. Daphunlang Nongsiej the present Head of the Department served as the founding faculty member of the department.The Education Department is dedicated to providing students with a solid foundation in education and in teaching theories and methods, in understanding issues and challenges in the field of education. The subject also aims to instil social responsibility, promote professional growth, and foster reflective practice, preparing students for successful careers in education and empowering them to contribute positively to society.

      The success of the department is evident in the achievements of its alumni. Many graduates have successfully pursued postgraduate studies at NEHU and other universities and colleges, further advancing their careers in education.

The department has well-qualified teachers who have consistently guided students, imparting knowledge through various teaching methodologies, such as lectures, group discussions, and self-study. Faculty members are dedicated to professional development and actively participate in community welfare initiatives. 

            The department also organizes various activities, within the department in the forms of presentations, and writing of plans related to the content, to support students' overall growth, helping them develop essential skills like teamwork, leadership, and communication.

        The department continues to strive for excellence, aiming to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and values to contribute positively to the field of education and society at large.
